Altrusa awards fall scholarships

The Altrusa Club of Roswell and the Altrusa Club of Roswell Foundation have awarded $4,400 in scholarships to Eastern New Mexico University- Roswell students this fall semester. Chairman of the Vocational Services Committee, Deborah Goluska, said there were 29 applications for the scholarships and the [auth] committee feels they found some outstanding students as recipients this fall.

Brittany Knight received a $1,000 scholarship from Altrusa. She is majoring in Radiographic Technology and beginning her second year at ENMU-Roswell. Manuel Santiago Zavala also received a $1,000 scholarship. He is majoring in Media Arts/Graphic Design. A $1,000 scholarship was also awarded to Faith Sosa. She is pursuing an Occupational Therapy Assistant degree.

Crystal Knoch received a $500 scholarship from the Altrusa Foundation and a $400 Poole Nursing Scholarship managed by the Foundation. She transferred to ENMU-Roswell to pursue a degree in Nursing. Amy Saz also received a $500 scholarship from the Altrusa Foundation. Saz is a Business Administration major.
