NM man with cut throat reports robbery attempt

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Los Lunas police say a 48-year-old man’s throat was cut during what he reported as a robbery attempt at a car wash in the Valencia County community [auth] south of Albuquerque.

Police say officers interviewed the man at a clinic where he’d gone with a wound to his neck. He said he was cut when two men tried to steal his car Tuesday.

According to the Albuquerque Journal ( ), the man lost consciousness while speaking with police and was taken to a hospital.

However, police say the wound turned out to not be life-threatening.

Lt. Naithan Gurule says police so far haven’t been able to locate any witnesses or surveillance video.
