Police Blotter: Generator stolen from work vehicle

• Police responded to Motel 6, 3307 N. Main St., Tuesday, where subjects removed a 700-watt generator from a work vehicle. A representative of Ardent Services of Kenner, La., estimated the value at $2,500.
• Police were called to the 200 block of East Church Street, Tuesday, after subjects entered one unlocked vehicle and removed cash, a purse and [auth] wallet, and stole a second which had the keys inside, a 2001 Honda Accord. The losses were estimated at $24,030.
• Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of East La Paloma Lane, Tuesday. The victim reported the back “plastic” window in the rear of the Jeep had been damaged when subjects attempted to gain access. The replacement costs were estimated at $1,000.
• Police were called to the 600 block of East La Paloma Lane, Tuesday, after subjects entered and took a Garmin GPS, a DVD player, Oakley sunglasses and other miscellaneous items, valued at $890. There were no signs of forced entry.

Criminal damage
Police received a report about the damages to the pool at Cahoon Park, Tuesday, where unknown subjects broke beer bottles in the patio area and in the pool. The estimated cost of draining and refilling the pool is $6,000.
