Police Blotter: Woman shot in leg while walking down street, refuses to prosecute

Police responded to Eastern New Mexico Medical Center, Monday, to talk to a woman who had been brought in with gunshot wounds. The victim told officials she was walking in the 400 block of East Fifth Street, near Shortelle, when she heard a loud pop and her [auth] leg went numb. The woman refused to prosecute.

Police were dispatched to Bealls, 4501 N. Main St., Monday, where $88.50 worth of items, including body spray, perfume, a pocket knife and some clothing, were stolen.

Police were called to the 1300 block of Meadow Lane, Monday, after subjects entered an unlocked vehicle and removed some raffle tickets, a record book, a student information book and cheerleading gear.

Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of North Main Street, Saturday, where subjects removed a Bushnell camera, some AA batteries and a set of ATV ramps from the bed of a United States Department of Agriculture truck.
