Jack “JK” Bailey, of Gulfport, Fla., died Sunday, June 30, 2013, on his 90th birthday, at Bay Pines VA Health Care System.
Born in Indianapolis, he moved to Florida from Noblesville, Ind., in 1993, where he retired as a partner with Warner Truck Body Co. He also worked for Indiana Bell Phone Co. for many years prior. JK was an Army veteran of WWII. He enjoyed tennis and was a member of So. Pasadena Yacht & Country Club.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years Estella; son Drake Kent Bailey of Marlinton, W.Va.; daughter Lee Bailey Sides of Roswell and two sisters, Bernice “Boots” Shake of Ogden, Ind., and Mildred “Mickey” Rowe of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his brother, Conrad Earl Bailey and sister, Ruth Louise Toole.
Interment will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery, Bay Pines, Fla.
