Ex-foster parent in NM accused in molestation case

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — A youth basketball coach in Santa Fe who was once a foster parent is in custody for allegedly molesting three juvenile girls.

Santa Fe police say 52-year-old Sevedeo Lujan is being [auth] held on $100,000 cash-only bond on suspicion of two counts of criminal sexual penetration and one count of criminal sexual conduct.

They say one of the alleged victims was assaulted in 1979 and another two years ago when she was 9.

Police say the third alleged molestation victim is a juvenile.

They say there’s no statute of limitations on the alleged offenses.

Police say Lujan also has been a youth football coach in Pecos and served as a foster parent, reportedly for one year sometime between 2004 to 2006.

It wasn’t immediately clear Monday if Lujan has a lawyer.
