Lockdown of Albuquerque school lifted

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — The lockdown of an Albuquerque elementary school has been lifted as authorities continue to seek a person sought in connection with a [auth] burglary.

Bernalillo County sheriff’s Sgt. Aaron Williamson says Armijo Elementary School was locked down soon after a passenger in a car fled on foot as deputies investigated a home burglary.

The lockdown was lifted after a large police presence was established in the area.

The person who fled on foot was a passenger in a vehicle that matched the description of a vehicle seen by a resident whose home had been burglarized.
