Police: Farmington bank ATM stolen

FARMINGTON, N.M. (AP) — Authorities say an ATM has been stolen from a Farmington bank.

The Farmington Daily Times reports ( that [auth] the theft Sunday marked the second straight weekend that bandits ripped off an ATM from a bank in Farmington.

According to police, investigators later found the stolen Citizens Bank ATM in a nearby trash bin. Police say the ATM, valued at $53,000, was damaged but no money was taken from the machine’s vault.

Authorities say the ATM stolen a week before also was destroyed with no money being taken.

No arrests have been made.
