Police Blotter: Laptop stolen; HVAC unit damaged

Police responded to an alarm at Johnnie’s Car Care Center, 1302 E. Second Street, Tuesday. A representative of the company came in to talk to the police and reported a laptop, [auth] valued at $400, had been stolen.

Criminal Damage
Police received a report from Sunny Acres Senior Assisted Living, 1414 S. Union Ave., Tuesday, where an individual released the freon from an HVAC unit. The damages were estimated at $5,000.

Police were dispatched to Southwestern Railroad, 301 E. Fifth St., after batteries, valued at $154, were removed from two backhoe batteries.
