My Metal Wholesale Supply, a new, family-owned wholesale supply retail s[auth] tore, held its grand opening Friday morning.

Owner James Bostwick, (pictured, second from left) raised in Melrose, farmed most of his life until he started the business seven years ago in Clovis. He decided to open a satellite Roswell location as a retail outlet, he said. The Clovis location will supply orders weekly.

“This is a good location for us,” Bostwick said.

Bostwick’s son and son-in-law also work with the company.

Sales Manager Gabe Goodwin said the store at 5701 N. Main, across from Roswell Wrecking Company, will open from Mondays through Saturdays to sell steel buildings, metal roofing, fencing and garage doors. The company manufacture steel panels and trim for use in the products.

Grand-opening day included a barbecue, a radio station broadcast and a full house of locals and friends.

“I think it’s been great,” Goodwin said. “We’ve had a full house all day. The hospitality has been great.”

The business serves commercial and residential customers.
