Raymond Carrillo Analla, 89, passed away at his home Monday, June 3, 2013. Our father’s services, as per our father’s request, will include his beloved son Ralph David who passed away Jan. 30, 2013. Ralph David Analla will be laid to rest alongside his parents, Raymond and Rachel Analla.
Raymond [auth] C. Analla was born Oct. 23, 1923, to Hilario Analla and Ramona Carrillo, both of Roswell. Raymond’s parents preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Rachel Isabell Juarez Analla, and his sons, John Timothy, Reynaldo Hilario and Ralph David Analla.
At 18 years old and anxious to learn a trade, Raymond C. Analla served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. There, he learned to weld and he made welding his career, working for Sacra Brothers and Arrow Gas for 47 years. Raymond received an “Emblem of Civilian Services.” Raymond also boxed as a youth and carried his love for boxing onto his seven sons. Raymond trained them and many other boxers working the ring corner along with Willie Hall. Their boxers won many championships. Raymond’s dedication and inspiration to his sons as well as other boxers will live on forever. One of Raymond’s proudest moments was when his three sons, Raymond Jr., Reynaldo and Ralph won the New Mexico state Golden Gloves boxing Championships TWICE, at the same time, and then the trio went on to the National Golden Glove Championships TWICE. Raymond was awarded and inducted into the New Mexico Boxing Hall of Fame along with six of his sons, Raymond Jr., Carlos, Renaldo, Ralph, John and Troy. Not one of Raymond’s boxers will ever forget his medicine ball workouts.
Raymond married the love of his life Rachel Juarez in Roswell on May 9, 1942, and together they had seven sons, Raymond Jr., Carlos, Reynaldo, Ralph, John, William and Troy. Those left to cherish his memory are his sons Raymond Jr. Anaya and wife Lynda of Roswell; Carlos Anaya and wife Sylvia of Portales; William Analla and girlfriend Jamee Servantez of Roswell; and Troy Analla and girlfriend Roseann Sanchez of Albuquerque; his brother Rudolph and wife Lupe Najar of Roswell and 30 precious grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Together again, our mother, father, brothers John, Reynaldo and Ralph, may they all rest in peace with our Lord, Jesus Christ forever.
The Analla family would like to thank the VistaCare Staff and volunteers for their special patience and concern for our father during very difficult times.
Husband, Dad & Grandpa:
A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin.
Until the day comes we’re together again.
