AMARILLO, Texas—Julia Bapp Rhodes, 77, of Amarillo, died Sunday, June 9, 2013. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2013, in [auth] Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Cameron Monroe, minister, officiating. Julia was born Nov. 24, 1935, in Syracuse, N.Y., to Frederick and Catharine White Bapp. She grew up in Roswell along with her only sibling Fred Bapp. She lived in Tokyo, Paris, Naples, Panama followed by Pflugerville to Eagle and Amarillo.
Survivors include three children, Julie Harris of Amarillo, Mike Rhodes of Haslet, Texas, and Mia Gentry of Flint, Texas; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren with another on the way; her brother Fred Bapp of Denver; two nieces, Robyn and Amy; a nephew Kevin; and one crazy dog, Poco Loco.
