Henry Ray Glass went home to the Lord, peacefully, Thursday, May 30, 2013. He was born in the Texas Panh[auth] andle and his start in life was hard. He was raised on a small farm/ranch during the depression and the Dustbowl. Henry learned about life the hard way. He learned to look for God’s gifts and always found something good in everything. He always had a kind word and a big smile.
He joined the United States Army Air Corp. and retired from the Air Force after 25 years of service. During WWII, he was stationed in the Pacific and survived the bombing of Pearl Harbor. He loved New Mexico. Every chance he had, he would “go to the mountains” and camp, fish and hike.
Henry married Virginia Turner on Sept. 12, 1947. She preceded him in death Dec. 1, 2012.
Henry is survived by his son Michael Ray Glass, of Klamath Falls, Ore.; and his two daughters, Cindy Glass, of Roswell and Vicki Glass Diggs, of Spur, Texas. Also surviving him are seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Henry was much loved and will be greatly missed. God bless you Henry.
