LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) — Don[auth] a Ana County Sheriff’s officials say three people are in custody for allegedly stealing home furnishings from a house in East Mesa.

Authorities say the home’s caretaker reported seeing a pickup truck pull up to the house just after 10 a.m. Monday.

The home reportedly belongs to a couple who recently died and the caretaker was watching the property for the couple’s adult daughter.

She says several furnishings were taken from the home, along with a doll collection and some prescription medication.

The caretaker told investigators that the truck hauling the furnishings drove to another location.

Sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant and found the stolen furnishings.

One of the three suspects has already bonded out of jail. A man and woman remain in custody.
