Jim “Spiderman” “Spider” Boggio, of Dexter, passed away on May 21, 2013, east of Artesia.
He was born on July 22, 1958, in Livingston, Mont., to Matthew Boggio, who preceded him in death, and Laura Barrett-Brest, of Fairview, N.C., who survives him. Jim married his best friend Carolyn Crotzer-Boggio on April 20, 2013.
Jim was known for never meeting a stranger and had many friends all across the country and around the world, through his service during the Vietnam War. His interests were motorcycles, blues music, family and friends. He is survived by a stepmother Elizabeth Quinn, of Dickson, Tenn.; sisters, Laura Day Lopez, of Clint, Texas, and Stacey Sordahl, of Fairview; daughter Sarah Boggio, of Atlanta; stepdaughters Joni Beckham, of Bethel, Alaska, and Tayni Crockett, of Artesia; stepgrandchildren, Kyler, Kayla and Kennedy Beckham; and many other family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2013, at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home & Crematory, with Don Johnston officiating.
