A memorial service for Linus Brown, 91, of Roswell, will be at 10 a.m., Monday, May 27, 2013, at Peachtree Village Dining Room. Linus passed away May 17, 2013. Military honors will be provided by the Roswell Veterans Honor Guard. As per his request, he will be cremated.
Linus was born in Walker, Kan., Jan. 30, 1922, to Andrew Brown and Agatha (Bach) Brown. Linus served in the Navy on the Fanny on the day of Pearl Harbor.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Ruby Williamson Brown, of the family home; his sons, Linus R. Brown, of Idaho, and Cliff Brown, of California; six grandchildren; sisters, Leona (Mooney) Schell, of Westminster, Colo., Tina Roth, of Longmont, Colo., La Verna (Ernest) Younger, of Brighton, Colo., Berniece (Keith) Anderson, of Brighton, and Norma J. Brown, of Brighton; brothers, the Rev. Charles C. Brown, of Brighton, Dan Brown and Alvin Brown.
Linus was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Agatha Brown; and sisters, Irene Ziegler, Olivia Bogard and Sally Kuwazaki.
