Beloved mother, sister, and aunt, has gone home with the Lord on May 8, 2013.
Abby was born on Aug. 31, 1959, to Flora Salcido Peyton who preceded her in death.
She married her beloved husband Domingo “Sunday” Lopez. They were together 25 years. He preceded her in death in 2002.
She is survived by three brothers, Albert Peyton and his friend Margaret Apodaca, of Roswell, [auth] Eusivio Salcido, of Albuquerque, and Michael Salcido and his lifetime partner Scott Frantz, of Denver; one sister Arcelia Peyton, of Albuquerque; her son Alex Salcido and his son Matthew, of Roswell; her tia Isabel Aguirre, of Roswell, and Carmen Guajaca, of Long Beach, Calif.; and numerous nieces, nephews, goddaughters and cousins.
In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Salcido Sr. and Jacob Peyton, and special nephew Christopher Ray Peyton.
Abby was born and raised in Roswell’s “Chihuhuita.” She enjoyed cooking big meals for family and friends. Her home was always open to anyone in need. She also enjoyed singing, dancing and making everyone laugh. For quiet time she spent it in her garden or just on the porch drinking coffee, enjoying life to the fullest.
Abby will be cremated according to her wishes. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 13, 2013, at Anderson- Bethany Funeral Home.
