Police Blotter: Vandals break security light

•Police were dispatched to Spanish Calvary Baptist Church, 600 E. Tilden St., Thursday, where a security light was broken. The damages were estimated at $200.

•Police received a report of possible mail theft [auth] in 100 block of South Delaware Avenue, Thursday. The victim arrived home to find the mail was scattered in the yard. The victim had been waiting for a new debit card to arrive and reported the incident for documentation purposes.
•Police were called to the 1000 block of South Virginia Avenue, Thursday. The victim reported that an unknown person had thrown dog feces into the resident’s back yard.

Police were called to the Treasure Chest, 1204 W. Hobbs St., Thursday, after a miniature replica of an old Crescent wood-burning stove, valued at $65, was removed from a display.

Police responded to a call in the 800 block of East Mathews Street, Thursday, where subjects gained entry into a residence by breaking a window. The victim reported DVDs and a laptop computer stolen. The items were valued at $1,000.
