There is an opportunity to volunteer for the 2013 Senior Olympic Games which will take place June 12-[auth] 16. The deadline to register to be a volunteer is May 15. More than 400 volunteers are needed in support of sporting events, special events, and socials during pre-game and Game Week. Volunteers who sign up to work a four-hour shift minimum will receive a free T-shirt, certificate and an invitation to attend an appreciation volunteer kick-off event. Volunteers must be 16 or older. Car seat check
Los Niños Pediatrics, in association with Safer New Mexico Now and Molina Health Care, will be hosting a car seat check clinic and Health Expo on Thursday, May 16, from 2-4 p.m. at Los Niños Pediatric Health Clinic, 200 W. Wilshire Blvd. (just west of Golden Corral). Car seats will be checked for safety and any car seats that do not pass the safety check will be replaced. Also, health information will be provided for the children. Come and get your children healthy for the Summer.

There will be a business tax workshop presented by Pat Jenking, EA, ABA, RTRP, of the New Mexico Society of Enrolled Agents on Tuesday, May 21, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Eastern New Mexico University- Roswell’s Occupational Technology Center, room 115. Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to teaching public speaking and leadership. Roswell is lucky enough to have a club which is in need of additional members.
