SANTA TERESA, N.M. (AP) — Federal authorities say man wanted in his native Mexico for murder has been arrested at the New Mexico border.

U.S. Cus[auth] toms and Border Protection officers assigned to the Santa Teresa Port of Entry say they arrested 24-year-old Ivan Ranyhit Parra Robles of Chihuahua, Mexico.

CBP officers conducting anti-terrorism duties questioned the occupants of a pickup truck coming from Mexico on Tuesday afternoon.

They say Robles was driving the vehicle and a records check showed he had an outstanding warrant out of Mexico in connection with a homicide.

Details of the case weren’t immediately available Wednesday.

Robles was taken into custody and federal officials were contacted about arranging for his repatriation to Mexico.
