Anetta was born July 8, 1944, in Portales, to Jack Graham and Lillian Anderson Graham. Her father preceded her in death.
Anetta married David Carpenter on March 2, 1963, in Caprock. He survives her at the family home.
Anetta is also survived by her mother Lillian Graham; one brother Hugh Robert Graham and his wife Bridget; daughter D’Aun Pierce and her husband Mike; son Ross Carpenter and his wife Lora; grandchildren, Ben Gray, Jake Carpenter and his wife Kassie, Katie Ragland and her husband Jeremy, Skyler Pierce and his wife Molly, and Sterling Pierce; great-grandchildren, Karli and Keylee Ragland; nieces and nephews, Laurie Matuska and her husband Doug, Royal Celum and his wife Lori, Madison and Mason Celum, and Ethan and Logan Matuska.
Anetta attended Tatum High School and Texas Tech University. She and David ranched on the LA Ranch east of Roswell for their entire marriage. She was a homemaker and kept the books for David in the oil field. Her greatest joy was spending time going to the many stock shows and ranch rodeos her children and grandchildren competed in. She was their biggest fan.
A special thanks to the staff of VistaCare Hospice for their wonderful care of Anetta.
