ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Albuquerque police say a woman they believed had been linked to a burning car isn’t connected after all.

Authorities still are trying to determine the [auth] identity of a woman whose body was found in the trunk of the car in Albuquerque last week. The medical examiner’s office says the body is that of a woman under the age of 50 but hasn’t listed a cause of death.

Police spokeswoman Tasia Martinez says detectives have interviewed 33-year-old Guadalupe Lopez, confirming she isn’t the victim. Martinez said Monday that it doesn’t appear Lopez is connected to the vehicle that was stolen or to the fire.
