ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — A former Los Alamos National Bank trust officer has been sentenced to eight months in federal prison in New Mexico for bank fraud.

Prosecutors said Wednesday that 56-year-old Deborah Gayle [auth] Wood must serve five years of supervised release and pay almost $4,400 in restitution plus a $10,000 fine.

They say Wood pleaded guilty in the case in December 2011.

Authorities say she admitted to getting reimbursed for personal expenditures that she falsely represented as expenditures made on behalf of a bank trust account client from 2004 to 2005.

Wood also admitted to misusing a bank credit card issued in the client’s name. She says she used it on numerous occasions to make personal purchases that she falsely represented as expenses made on behalf of the client.
