Police Blotter: Police respond to irate Allsup’s customer

The police were dispatched to Allsup’s, 2515 W. Second St., Monday, in reference to an attack on a clerk. The officer learned the clerk had rung up some items for a woman, but her EBT card was declined. The woman became angry and started throwing the items she was planning to purchase at the clerk. A [auth] plastic drink bottle hit the clerk in the mouth. The female subject walked down the candy aisle and continued to throw candy at the sales clerk before leaving the store.

Police were called to the Church of Christ at 1512 S. Main St., Monday where subjects damaged an air conditioning unit and removed the copper. The damages and replacement costs were estimated at $2,000

Criminal damage
Police responded to the 100 block of East Deming Street, Monday. The 62-year-old victim told officers that an unknown subject or subjects pried open the garage door of his shop. Nothing was taken.

Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of East Alameda Street, Monday, after subjects broke into woman’s home and stole miscellaneous jewelry and some beauty products. No value was given for the items.
