Graveside services will be held for Gaye Pirtle, 82, of Roswell, at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Memory Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Melvin Suttle officiating. She passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013.
Gaye was born Dec. 1, 1930, to George and Iva Roberts, in Decatur, Ala.
She loved to sew, play the piano and family was very important to her. She was a rancher and a farmer.
She is survived by her three children, Jay Pirtle and his wife Kathy and their two children, Donna and Shane, Janeen Pirtle and her children, Temple and Kim, and Doyle Pirtle and his wife Rhonnie and their three sons, Matt, Ranger and Ty; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Smith and MarieTucker and her husband Harold; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Justin and Luther Roberts; two sisters, Carrie Barnett and Mary Parmer; her husband Ira Pirtle; her parents George and Iva Roberts; and her grandson Heath Pirtle.
