Roswell woman sought following chase

The police are seeking Roswell woman Carrie Flores, 22. Flores nearly rammed a police car as she escaped from officers who came to a residence on the 600 block of Hickory Drive to serve a warrant.

She drove through a yard and swerved toward a second officer who tried to stop her.

The police gave chase. Flores drove through several stop signs and one stop light. The pursuit came to a halt when the vehicle Flores was driving nearly hit two school teachers at Monterrey Elementary School, 915 W. Gayle St.

The initial warrant issued for Flores included aggravated DUI and failure to comply with conditions of probation. Now she faces additional charges of aggravated assault on a peace officer and two counts of aggravated assault on school personnel.

Flores is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall, 145 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Carrie Flores is urged to contact the Roswell Police Department (624-6770), or Crime Stoppers (1-888-594-8477).
