Police Blotter: Welding cable removed from truck

Police were called to the Budget Inn, 2101 N. Main St., Friday, where two spools of welding cable, valued at $200, were removed from the bed of a pick-up truck.

Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of West First Street, Friday, when a family altercation turned ugly. Two cousins [auth] got into an argument and one stabbed the other. The victim was treated at a local hospital, but refused to press charges.

Shots fired
Police responded to the 900 block of North Atkinson Avenue, Thursday. The person calling about the incident reported hearing three shots fired. The officer discovered a vehicle with two bullet holes in it and air escaping from the tires. A white Chevy Silverado was seen leaving the area.

Police were called to the 300 block of East Ballard Street, Thursday, where the victim returned to the residence to discover the home ransacked and multiple items stolen. The victim was unable to assess all the damages or compile a complete list of missing items.
