EL PASO, Texas — Jose Amos Villarreal, 67, passed away on Feb. 13, 2013, at Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, Texas.
The Roswell native is preceded in death by his father Gregario Villarreal; mother Edna Martinez Villarreal and brother Gregario Villarreal Jr.
Amos is survived by his wife Edna Salcido Villarreal; brother Daniel Villarreal; daughter Eleanor Rios; daughter Yvette Taylor; son Jose Amos Villarreal Jr.; daughter Denise Mercado; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He joined the United States Army in 1965, then pursued careers in grocery management and over the road commercial truck driving.
Visitation and funeral services will be at Crestview Funeral Home 1462 N. Zaragoza, El Paso, Texas 79936. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013. Funeral will be at 11:45 a.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, with the burial to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 1 p.m.
