Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Ballard Chapel for Linda Nell Foster, 63, who passed away Jan. 28, 2013, at Mission Arch Care Center. Mickey Lavato will be officiating with burial to follow at Hagerman Cemetery.
Linda was born May 11, 1949, in Hagerman, to Olen Earl Davis and Anna Christine Harless. Both of her parents preceded her in death.
Surviving her are her sons, Greg Hancock and wife Lori, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Justin Crawford, of Ft. Sumner; daughter Terri Aguirre, of Roswell; brothers, Olen Dale Davis and wife Lanita, of Canton, Okla., and Melby Hallford and wife Gertie, of Olympia, Wash.; nieces, Christine Sherwood Gonzales, Michelle Brooks, Mandy Sherwood, Nicole Sherwood, Lonnie Espy, Katrina Buzzard and Sharon Hallford; nephews, Josh Davis, Anthony and Kevin Hallford; grandchildren, Kaleb Aguirre, Brandon Aguirre, Quentin Hancock, Faith Hancock and Andrielle Hancock; and one great-granddaughter Maddison Aguirre.
Linda was a member of NM Bar Association and Agape Board. She loved to jog and her hobby was photography. She graduated from Oklahoma City University in 2001, graduated ENMU Portales, worked as a CASA Volunteer and was also a private investigator.
After graduating from Oklahoma City University with a doctorate degree, she returned to Roswell and was an assistant district attorney for a time before striking out on her own and opening her own law firm, Foster Law Firm, where she worked until her passing.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kaleb Aguirre, Brandon Aguirre, Quentin Hancock, Greg Hancock, Justin Crawford and Homero Aguirre.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Linda’s name to the American Cancer Society, 1111 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Roswell, NM 88201.
