Memorial services will be held Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, for George Howard Didlake, at Grace Presbyterian Church in Vista, Calif., at 1 p.m. George was born to Tom and Mary Didlake, of East Grand Plains, Roswell, N.M., on Feb. 22, 1927. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sons, Ted and Tim. George is survived by his wife Ollie Mae Grizzle (also of Roswell); a daughter Georga Mae; and a son Tom. He has three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. George is also survived by his sister Tommie Jean Cooper, now residing in Odessa, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
George was well known by farmers in the area as he was a farmer as well as a crop duster. His love of flying took him to become a pilot for Continental Airlines until retirement.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
