A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home Chapel, with Vista Care Chaplain Cecil Kimberlin officiating. He passed away on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013.
Stanley was born Jan. 31, 1941, to George and Julia Dickerson Duke, in Cheyessae, Ark. In his early career, Stan was a business owner and worked as the manager of Super 8 Motel in Espanola, prior moving to Roswell. He was also a computer information specialist. In Roswell, he attended ENMU-R and studied computer information systems and was a computer programmer. He was very good at fixing unfixable computers. He was a member of the Pecos Valley Amateur Radio Club, which he enjoyed. He was also a computer tutor, an avid member of the Amateur Ham Radio Club and an avid book reader.
Stanley is survived by his companion of 26 years Sally Herrera, of Roswell; his daughters, Stefanie Duke, Melissa Duke and Krista Duke; his son Kenneth Michael Duke; and stepchildren, Melissa Urban, Phillip Urban and Larry Larez.
Honorary pallbearers will be members and friends of the Pecos Valley Amateur Radio Club and all neighbors at Cielo de Oro Apartment Complex.
