The police responded to Jardin Court, Thursday. The victim told officials that someone had forced her off the road. She requested the driver of the other vehicle pull over. She said the unknown male subject exited his vehicle with a sledge hammer in his hands and proceeded to chase her around her car. She described him as a tall, thin Hispanic male, about 50 years of age.
•Police were called to the 2800 block of West Fourth Street, Thursday, where the [auth] resident returned to find the front door ajar. The victim reported an Acer laptop, an Icon 35 mm camera, a purse, a Taurus P2 .9mm semi-automatic pistol, and a Winchester 243 Savage rifle with Leopard scope missing. The items were valued at $2,550.
•Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of South Lea Avenue, Thursday, after a subject forced entry into a home and removed miscellaneous jewelry, some coins and an Interarms .38 special firearm.
•The police were called to the 1500 block of South Union, Thursday, where a subject pried a shed door open, breaking the hasp, and took a Homelite power washer, a Honda motor and a carpet shampooer. The victim estimated the losses at $750.
•The police were dispatched to the 1700 block of South Monroe Avenue, Thursday, after subjects forced entry into a locked shed and removed a Craftsman tool set, a leather tool pouch and other assorted tools. The items were valued at $800.
•Police responded to Vanderslice Place, Thursday. The victim said he came home to find a television near the back door. The officer noted that someone had attempted to kick in the front door and then entered the residence by prying open a window. The victim reported $1,225 worth of items had been stolen, including an Xbox 450.
