A prayer vigil for Diana Madril-Mendoza, 55, of Roswell, will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Bethel Assembly of God Church.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Bethel Assembly of God Church with Pastor Toni Herrera officiating. Burial will follow in South Park Cemetery. Diana passed away on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, in Phoenix, Ariz.
Diana was born Feb. 25, 1957, to Porfirio M. Mendoza and Lupe Alvarez and Dominga Rodriguez in Artesia. Her favorite saying was “Okie dokey.” She was very outgoing, loved life to the fullest, had a big heart and touched many lives. She loved her grandchildren and her two daughters very much. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Mary Stephanie Madril from Belen, and Antoinette Diana Madril-Xaysaleumsack and her husband KhamPhai, of Clovis; numerous brothers and sisters; her grandchildren, Gabriel Martinez, Ariana Martinez, Jericho Parker “Pookie Loc,” KhamPhai Xaysaleumsack Jr., Conrad Xaysaleumsack, Diamond Xaysaleumsack and Antonio Madril; and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters.
She was preceded in death by her father Porfirio M. Mendoza, her sister Carolyn Sanchez Mendoza, her brother Harry Mendoza and her husband Tony Madril.
Pallbearers will be KhamPhai Xaysaleumsack, Anthony Pisaña, Michael Mendoza, Lorenzo Mendoza, Christopher Mendoza, Sergio Mendoza, Eddie Mendoza and Robert Mendoza.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Mendoza and Junior Mendoza.
