Police Blotter: Festive decor goes missing

On Tuesday, police received a report of a theft that took place in the 600 block of South Kansas Avenue. The victim told the officials that someone had stolen a snow globe, an inflatable snowman and two penguins from the front yard.

Vehicle burglary
•Police were called to the 1200 block of West McGaffey, Tuesday, where subjects entered into a vehicle and removed two [auth] folding camp chairs, two metal CD carriers, 100 CDs and the vehicle registration.
•Police were dispatched to the 900 block of Pequeno Camino. Monday, after subjects took 50 rounds of .22 caliber ammunition and 30 and 10-round clips for an SKS rifle, a 24-inch chainsaw chain and miscellaneous tools from a vehicle. The missing items were valued at $288.

Criminal damage
Police responded to a call from Kmart, 1705 S. Main St., Monday, after someone threw a rock through a large plate glass window. The replacement costs were estimated at $5,000.

Breaking and entering
Police were called to the 1300 block of North Kentucky Avenue, Monday when a citizen was disturbed by a loud noise. The individual reporting the incident said a male subject wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt was seen leaving the area. When officials arrived, they discovered that the latch on the garage door had been broken, but nothing was taken.
