Paul Ashby was born April 17, 1937, in Evansville, Ind., to Arnold Ashby and Estelle Bartlett Ashby. Paul passed away at his home in Roswell, on Dec. 4, 2012.
Paul spent his early years in Colorado with his family. He served his country in Korea, and spent several years after discharge in Colorado. He married and raised his children in Commerce City, Colo., and spent most of his career as a [auth] long-distance trucker. Paul came frequently to Roswell in the 1980s to visit his retired parents and moved here himself in 2002. He met and married Sue in 2012. He had a passion for photography and painting; loved learning, travel and new experiences. He was a devoted member of his church and was secure in his faith and his home with the Lord.
Paul is survived by his wife Sue Chiante-Ashby, of the family home; his sons, David, of Ft. Collins, Colo., Robert, of Littleton, Colo., and Kent, of Aurora, Colo.; his mother Estelle Bartlett Ashby, of Princeton, Ind.; his brothers, Delbert Ashby, of Annandale, Va., Charles Ashby, of Byers, Colo., Kenneth Ashby, of Englewood, Colo., and Jerry Ashby, of Morrilton, Ark.; and his sister Gail Conrad, of Locust Grove, Va.
He was preceded in death by his father Arnold Ashby.
Cremation is planned and services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Tabernacle Baptist Church.
