Memorial services will be held for James Cliett, 84, of Roswell, at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Christ’s Church with the Rev. Robert Irmen officiating. James passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012.
James was born July 14, 1928, to Victor and Jewell Cliett, in Hill County, Texas. James moved to Roswell in 1978 and bought the Big Lake Ranch, where he worked as a cowboy. He was a member of Christ’s Church. He was a Gideon and loved serving God. James married Julia Megahan on June 3, 1989, in Roswell.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Julia Cliett, of the family home; his stepdaughter Paige Hicks and her husband Johnny and their children, John Lee and his wife, Amanda, and their children, J.L., Cassie Jo Marshall and Cody, Chancey Northcutt and Cody; two stepsons, John Pollard and his wife Darla and their daughter Kalyssa, and Ronnie Pollard and Jeanne; his sister Bonnie C. Nailon and her husband Bill, of Richardson, Texas; his nephew Bob Nailon and his wife Debbie and their three children, Rob, Trevor and Mallory; his niece Belinda Mergen and her husband Jim and their two sons, Matt and Josh; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
