RPD investigates shooting

The Roswell Police Department is currently investigating a shooting which occurred at 9:26 p.m., Saturday, in the 1700 block of South Monroe Avenue. The 40-year-old female victim was found with a gunshot wound to her lower abdomen. The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries. No further information is available at this time. The police are now seeking the assistance of the public about this crime.

Police responded to a call from the 2300 block of North Cole Avenue, Wednesday, after subjects gained access to a shed and removed a 3-piece oak cabinet and an E-machine computer consisting of a monitor, tower and scanner. The missing items were valued at $3,100.


Police were called to the 500 block of West Fifth Street, Wednesday, where subjects entered a residence through a hole in the wall. According to the police report, the subjects exited through the garage door after taking miscellaneous hand and power tools, valued at $1,300.

Stolen vehicle

Police received a report of a stolen 2005 Nissan Titan, Wednesday, that had been partially stripped for parts and found in the 400 block of North Freeman Avenue in Artesia.


Police were dispatched to the 600 block of West Church Street, Wednesday, to take a report of forgery. The victim stated that someone had submitted a change-of-address form to the USPS without her consent. She brought officials a copy of the form and pointed out the signature did not match hers.
