Black Ops Tourney
There will be a Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 tournament organized by Empire Promotions Dec. 1 from 4-9 p.m. at Icon Cinema. The event is free to anyone who wants to test their gaming skills, have fun and win prizes. There will be several TVs set up at the event and the option to play on either a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. Call of Duty online champion XI-Final_Boss-XI will attend. First place tournament winner will get $100 in cash. Others will be eligible for gift certificates, CDs, posters, cash, shirts and other prizes. Sponsors are also still being sought. Deadline to be a sponsor is Monday, Nov. 26. Civic Club Luncheon
The 63rd annual All Civic Club Luncheon, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Roswell, will take place at the Roswell Convention and Civic Center on Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Guest speaker will be Tom Burris, Roswell Independent School District superintendent.

Chapter K will hold its regular meeting Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 5:30 p.m. at the home of Emily Hill and Carrie Jurecek, with Katie Harton and Martha Bean acting as co-hostesses. The theme will be “On Marathon Beach (Calif.).” The PCE program will be presented by Carri Jurecek, Gail Gruber and the Scholar awards by Sandy Correia. There will be a family science night at the Roswell Museum and Art Center’s Bassett Auditorium, with entrance through Goddard Planetarium, this Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 7-8 p.m. This program provides hands-on science activities and is open to the public, free of charge. It is an exciting and challenging way for students to extend the science programs of the Roswell Independent School District schools.
Habitat for Humanity will be dedicating its 13th house to be located at 1206 E. Beech Friday, Nov. 30, at 5:30 p.m. Come help us celebrate this event.
