Albuquerque man sentenced in firearm theft case

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — An Albuquerque man has been sentenced to more than three years in prison in a firearms case.

Prosecutors say a [auth] federal judge on Monday sentenced 24-year-old Ryan Stewart to a 37-month prison term for theft of a firearm from a licensed firearms dealer.

Stewart will be on supervised release for three years after completing his sentence.

Stewart was accused of stealing a semiautomatic pistol from an Albuquerque pawn shop last Dec. 24.

He was indicted in the case and pleaded guilty in August to one count.
