Man tries to leave Kmart with bicycle products up his sleeve

A man was stopped by a loss prevention officer at Kmart, 1705 S. Main St., Wednesday, as he tried to leave the store with a bike tire and bicycle head lamp stuffed up his sleeve. Police issued an arrest citation on charges of shoplifting.


•Police were called to the 1500 block of West Hobbs Street, Wednesday, after subjects gained entry into a vehicle and removed a 1500 watt Pioneer speaker, valued at $150.

•Police were dispatched to the 700 block of West 12th Street, Wednesday. The victim reported that someone had broken a window out in a currently vacant home and stole a refrigerator, valued at $500.

Attempted breaking and entering

Police have placed the 700 block of West 11th Street on close patrol, Wednesday, where subjects attempted to pry open a door and returned at night to try it again.
