Cops bust 3 would-be burglars

Police arrested three juveniles, ages 14, 15 and 16, in the 500 block of West Bonney Street, Wednesday afternoon, as they were attempting to burglarize a vacant residence. Two were acting as lookouts, with one on the roof of the building and one on the east fence.


Police received a walk-in report of [auth] fraud, Wednesday, after a victim discovered that someone had used a debit card to pay an electric bill in Gainesville, Fla.


Police were called to the 1200 block of West Mathews Street, Wednesday, where subjects cut a lock on a back gate and stole a Craftsman lawn mower, valued at $350.

Criminal damage

Police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Emerald Drive, Wednesday, after subjects broke 10 windows and damaged a door frame in a house. Repair costs were estimated at $745.


Police were called to Allsups, 2501 N. Main St., Wednesday. The victim stated she had left her vehicle to pay for gas and when she returned, a 10-inch Acer tablet and Samsung Galaxy notebook were missing. The items were valued at $1,044.
