Music at PFW
The Black Cat Trio, a New Orleans-style jazz band from Albuquerque will perform at Pecos Flavors Winery, 305 N. Main St., Friday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. Cost is $5, reservations can be made by calling 627-6265.

Breakfast Buffet
Please join your friends and bring you families to our monthly breakfast buffet [auth] Saturday, Nov. 10. Come to the Salvation Army, 612 W. College Blvd., between 7-11 a.m. One trip buffet includes eggs any style, omelets with various ingredients, pancakes, waffles, ham, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Cost is $5 per person.

McHappy Day
Participating McDonald’s® restaurants across the country will celebrate McHappy Day® on Saturday Nov. 10, kicking off the annual “Give A Hand®” fundraiser to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities®. Again this year, customers will have the opportunity to donate to RMHC in the denomination of their choice when they purchase a paper Hand for $1, $3, or $5. In addition to the annual “Give A Hand” fundraiser, McDonald’s donates proceeds from the sales of Happy Meals and Mighty Kids Meals to RMHC.

Vets Parade
There will be a Veterans Day parade Saturday, Nov. 10. The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to participate with flags on their motorcycles; line up will be on Fourth Street and Main Street at 9 a.m. Entry is free but registration in required; entry forms can be picked up at the Visitor’s Center, the Roswell Chamber of Commerce and Roswell Senior and Adult Center. Craft and Bake Sale
Senior Circle, a resource of Eastern New Mexico Medical Center, is holding a silent auction, craft sale and bake sale Saturday, Nov. 10, at Senior Circle in the Wilshire Center, 2801 N. Main St., next door to Family Dollar. The auction started Oct. 29 and will end at 1 p.m. Saturday. The craft and bake sale is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Many great items have been donated for the auction, including a collection of Louis L’Amour books, a bread maker, a Panini maker, binoculars, ceramic figures, jewelry and more. Healthy Woman
The 2012 annual Health Woman Expo is set to take place Saturday, Nov. 10, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. The free event will feature complimentary health screenings, health information, on-hand physicians and clinicians, giveaways and free door prizes and many community vendors. Country Charm

Choir Concert
The First United Methodist Church Chancel Choir and other local singers will present “Stars Touch Our Lives,” its annual Salute to Veterans program on Sunday, Nov. 11, at 3 p.m. Conducted by John Fuss and accompanied by Michelle Olson, the performance will feature patriotic and historical commentary by several local individuals. Hurricane Relief
There will be a soup and sandwich donation dinner as a hurricane relief fundraiser Sunday, Nov. 11, following our annual Veterans Day program at First United Methodist Church, 200 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Join us for our annual Veterans Day Program at First United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. Immediately following the program, come to the fellowship hall and join us in a fundraiser to help our fellow Americans in need. All money raised will go directly to UMCOR toward hurricane relief efforts.

Flag Retirement
The Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest will have a flag retirement ceremony and open house Sunday, Nov. 11, from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Girl Scout Program Center, 1307B E.
