ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — One of two suspects wanted in an Albuquerque strip club shooting late last month now is in custody.

Albuquerque police announced Wednesday night that 33-year-old Isaac Montoya is being held on [auth] suspicion of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy and tampering with evidence.

Police still are searching for the second suspect.

They say two men were thrown out of the Fantasy World club near Interstate 25 in midtown Albuquerque in the early morning hours of Sept. 29.

Police say as the men drove from the establishment, they allegedly fired several rounds and hit two security guards at the club’s door.

Both guards were shot in the leg and their wounds aren’t considered life-threatening.

Police say detectives with the department’s gang unit captured Montoya. He didn’t have an attorney yet.
