John Charles Connell Jr., 52, passed away Sunday July 22, 2012, in Spokane Wash. John was born and raised in Roswell.
He is survived by his wife Marla Connell; his mother Lena Connell; his sisters, Debbie Roberts, Doris Tapia and Susie Connell; his brother Randy Connell; his childhood friend Stanly Squarock; his children, John Connell III, Amber Ann Lucero, Leticia Herrera, Tammie Connell and Jonathan Connell; and many loving nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his father John Charles Connell Sr., and his best friend Jessie Gamboa.
John was an avid outdoorsman; he loved hunting, camping and fishing, although many of his fish were too “big” to keep. John also enjoyed boxing, teasing his family members, and any kind of music that allowed him the opportunity to sing out of tune.
Burial services will be held in Spokane, with a local memorial service led by Margie Medina and music by Ernest Medina, at the family home, 117 S. Lincoln, Roswell, on Saturday, July 28, 2012, at 2 p.m.
