CLOVIS — Stoney Waide, 46, of Clovis, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Clovis Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Seventh-Day Adventist Church, with the Rev. Nehemias Basit officiating. Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 16, 2012, at South Park Cemetery, Roswell. Pallbearers include Dallas Lesly, Zack Lesly, Yance Lesly, Robert Saiz, Eric Mowery and Renee Cumpian. Honorary pallbearers are Randy Lesly and Mike Waide.
Stoney was born in Portales, Nov. 5, 1965, to Kenneth and Aline (Crocker) Waide. He worked as a drywaller in construction. Stoney enjoyed fishing, dancing, music, and doing yard work.
Survivors include his parents Kenneth and Aline Waide, of Clovis; two sisters, Diane (Randall) Lesly and Brinda Frazier, both of Clovis; a brother Corkey (Carrie) Waide, of Imperial, Neb.; grandmother Mary Geraldine Waide, of Ft. Cobb, Okla.; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his sister Karen Jeanette Waide.
