Police Blotter: Car detailing business robbed; tools, vehicle and keys taken

Criminal Damage
On Sunday, at around 10:40 a.m., police were dispatched to VIP Auto Detailing, 202 E. College Blvd. The owner reported that sometime between July 2 at 10:30 a.m., and Sunday at 9 a.m., someone entered his business by opening a window and crawling through. A Champion generator, a Homelite [auth] pressure washer, a Honda pressure washer, hand tools and a gas can were reported stolen. Additionally, the owner noticed that the garage doors of the business were open approximately six inches. A 2008 GMC Sierra pickup, cherry red in color, was stolen from inside of the wash bays. The vehicle is owned by Desert Sun Automotive. Keys to a 2008 Dodge four-door pickup and a 2002 Grand Caravan UAW were also taken.
On Sunday, at approximately 8:15 a.m., police responded to the 1500 block of South Union Avenue in reference to criminal damage. Contact was made with a male subject who wanted to report that sometime between 3:30 p.m., Friday, and Sunday morning an unknown subject spray painted graffiti on his block fence. Damage to the fence was reported as $200.
