A rosary is scheduled for 7 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2012, at St. John’s Catholic Church, for Primitivo “Boss Hogg” Montoya, 59, who passed away on June 29, 2012, at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m., on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, also at St. John’s Catholic Church. Cremation will follow the services, per his wishes.
Primitivo was born Jan. 16, 1953, to Barney Brady and Eva Montoya Aragon, and raised by Domingo Aragon in Roswell.
Primitivo was a graduate of Goddard High School, Class of 1971, and was employed by Samon’s for 22 years. He loved to play horseshoes and his horseshoe club was called the Roswell Six-Packs. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a lifelong resident of Roswell and a member of St. John’s Catholic Church.
He is survived by his fiancée Antonia Morales; his son David Aguilar and Susie; and his stepsons; his sisters, Kathy Vegara and Willie, Betty Vale and Domingo Sr., Mary Helen Aragon and Alvin, Nancy Aragon and Larry, and Grace Lozano; his brother Augustine Aragon and Cheryl, all of Roswell.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Montoya; his father Barney Brady and Domingo Aragon; his mother Eva Aragon; his sister Angie Montoya; his brothers, Alan Montoya and John Montoya Sr.; his nephew Billy Montoya; his grandmother Josefita Brady; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Pallbearers will be Danny Aguilar, James Morales, Anthony Horton, Eddie Gonzales, Domingo Vale, Vernon Aguilar, Alvin Padilla and Willie Vegara.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eva R. Vale, Johnny Sanchez, Spc. 1st Class Tomas Sanchez, Edward Sanchez, Matthew Morales, Fabian Morales, William Vegara, Lucas, Mark A. Montoya, Rick Hernandez, Cuñado Joe Jaramillo, Ricardo Quintamilla, Faustino Jaramillo, also Samon’s employees and the “Roswell Six-Packs.”
