SERAFINA, N.M. (AP) — New Mexico State Police investigators say a high-risk search warrant has resulted in a big marijuana bust and the arrest of two men.
Agents with the department’s criminal investigations unit served the warrant Friday at a home in Serafina in San Miguel County. The search netted 600 pounds of marijuana that had an estimated street value of about $500,000.
Two semi-automatic handguns and ammunition were also seized.
Agents arrested 22-year-old Cesar Adrian Morales Rubio and 40-year-old Manuel Maldonado. They say both men are from Mexico.
State Police Lt. Robert McDonald says the men have been booked into the county jail on drug and conspiracy charges.
