ANTHONY, N.M. (AP) — A rash of rock-throwing incidents along Interstate 10 near the Anthony rest stop has caught the attention of Dona Ana County Sheriff’s deputies and state police.
Sheriff’s Capt. Craig Buckingham says about a half-dozen vehicles have been damaged by rocks that appear to have been thrown by an unknown person or people near the rest stop along the Texas-New Mexico border.
Authorities say the rock throwing has happened between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. over the last three weeks.
No one has been injured, but Buckingham says motorists should be cautious when driving in the area.
