G. Albert Bell, 83, formerly of Clovis, died Monday, May 14, 2012, at Texas Tech University Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 19, 2012, at West Alameda Church of Christ, 2807 W. Alameda St., Roswell.
Albert was born in Clovis, April 3, 1929, to Claude Augustus and Viola Mae Bell. In 1950, he married Ruby Christeene Beardain in Clovis.
He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad as a fireman for 15 years and as an engineer for 28 years. He worked a total of 431⁄2 years for the Santa Fe Railroad.
He was a lifelong active member of the Church of Christ in Clovis, Belen and Roswell.
He married Edna Koeltzow Chappell on Nov. 19, 1999. They moved to Roswell in 2003.
He is survived by wife Edna; two daughters, Debbie Baldwin and husband Dan Baldwin, of Roswell, and Sherry Cash and husband Tommy Cash, of Clovis; a son Terry Bell and wife Dara, of Carlsbad; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
His interests were his family and studying the Bible.
He was preceded in death by his brother Clarence Bell, his parents and wife, Ruby Bell.
